A router connection is characteristically the best way to connect to Xbox Live as you can your PC and your Xbox cheer up can use your Internet overhaul at the same time. See Choose a association type to find out if a router association will work with your modem. make sure you use a router that works with Xbox Live.
Before you attach any cable turn off your Xbox console, broad band router, broad band modem, and PC. Unplug your modem on or after power to turn it off.
Take an Ethernet cable and put together one end to the Ethernet out port on the modem and the other end to the Ethernet in or WAN port on the router.
Take one more Ethernet cable and connect one end to one of the Ethernet out ports on the router and the other end to the Ethernet port on the PC NIC.
Take another Ethernet cable and attach one end to one of the Ethernet out ports on the router and the other end to the Ethernet port on the reverse of the Xbox console.
Turn on your modem, then your router, then your PC.
Make sure that your PC can right of entry the Internet. If not, the router may need a specific prototype to let your PC access the Internet. Check the router certification for help configuring the router using your PC.
