Ask them to understand writing your proposal for 10 min, and say what they think. Remember, most group members will give it less time than that.
• If you want to study how to write a proposal then, make sure that the first page acts as a stand-alone précis of the entire proposal. Assume (it's a safe assumption) that many readers will get no additional than the first page. So don't fill it up with boilerplate about the technological background. Instead, present your whole case: what you want to do, why it's significant, why you will do well, how much it will price, and so on.
Criteria for a good grant proposal
